I am 32 years old, married and have two little girls. Both girls are currently in daycare which is my main expense of the month. I do not have any credit card debt, but we have outstanding loans for college, car and mortgage.

2007 Goals
1. Minimum Checking account balance $1500.

2. Use cash system for household/small purchases.

3. Each paycheck deposit $50 for non-monthly bills and $50 for holiday\birthdays.

4. Payoff Car loan by end of year.

5. Find ways to lower other monthly bills.

6. Stop buying crap!

Today we had more insulation installed in our home. We had an energy audit a few weeks ago and was told we were way low of the minimum standard.

I am actually pretty excited about this - I can't wait to see our heat bill go down.

We SO need to do this. Our water goes through the attics here and I think it would help the hot water situation also. Because the cold water wouldn't get so cold! Not to mention the heating....
